E-Yantra – A project of Computer Science and Engineering Department, Indian Institute of Technology Bombay – is a flagship initiative by Ministry of Human Resource Development through the National Mission on Education through ICT to spread embedded systems and Robotics education in colleges across India. The Government initiative is run under the collaborative guidance of Embedded and Real Time System Lab (ERTS-lab).
Under the Guideline of Dr. Rajan Welukar Vice Chancellor of the GH Raisoni University this an initiative, the Department of Computer Science & Engineering, G H Raisoni University, Chindwara, M.P, had setup a Robotics Laboratory, under all the procedure stipulated by IIT-B. The newly-established laboratory was inaugurated recently by Ajay Mahawadiwar, Head of Department Engineering, at Engineering Block, Computer lab-1. During the occasion, dignitaries handed over the certificates for successful completion of the robotic tasks assigned by IIT-B to the Team Leader professor Sonia Bajaj and team.
The prime objective of the laboratory is to provide all the learners a conducive platform for imparting basic concepts in embedded systems and microcontroller programming by the means of a robotic kit and accessories.
The e-Yantra proposes to organise array of events for students in the form of competitions— task based activities so that the learners comprise various technical projects and brainstorm new ideas. As a resource development for Teachers, the laboratory will host Symposiums for advancement in pedagogy and real-time applications.
