Shri Bikaneri Maheshwari Panchayat Yuva Samiti and Marwadi Foundation are jointly organising 6-day-long Rajasthan Mahotsav at South Central Zone Cultural Centre (SCZCC) here from December 21.
The Mahotsav will be inaugurated by chief minister Devendra Fadnavis at 5.30 pm. Union minister for surface transport and shipping Nitin Gadkari too will be the chief guest on the occasion.
The Mahotsav will witness participation of 105 artistes from Rajasthan, who will be presenting various cultural programmes.
Mahotsav will showcase the rich tradition and culture of Rajasthan. The citizens of Nagpur will get to savour the taste of Rajasthan cuisines, art, folk dances and folk songs. Moreover, about 95 stalls of Rajsthani art and craft, will be set up as a part of the Mahotsav.
The premises of Mahotsav will also give a view of nine famous temples of Rajasthan and two temples of Maharashtra. Folk artistes would present ghumar, chari, kalbeliya, mayur, chakri, teratal and other folk dances during the festival. ‘Bhapang and chang vadan’ would also enthrall the visitors, who could also witness the traditional puppet dance.
Shyopat Dholi has been promoting the event in the city in his unique style.
President Shirish Mundada, project coordinator Raj Chandak, Deepak Mohta, Pranay Daga, Ajay Mall, Girish Nathani, Sharad Lakhotia, Vandana Mundada, Rekha Rathi and others were working hard to make this event a success.
