Basketball tourney from Jan 13 - The basketball tournament in the second edition of Khasdar Krida Mahotsav will be played in two different age categories and at the three different venues of the city from January 13 to 25. The tournament will be played in Under-16 (youth) category at Nutan Bharat Yuvak Sangh in Bajaj Nagar from January 13 to 18 while the matches for senior men and women category will be played at Gurudeo Nagar Krida Mandal (GKM) courts and at Players Basketball Gymkhana (PBG) courts in Gadikhana from January 20 to 25. The winner in each category will get a cash prize of Rs 31,000 while the teams finishing second will be richer by Rs 21,000. The third placed eams will ake home Rs 11,000. Apart from this, the best player of the tournament in all the age categories will win a cash prize of Rs 5,000. Other individual performers including best defender and impact player will get a cash prize of Rs 2500 each. The last date of entry is January 5 and it can be confirmed with Ayush Agrawal and Rajat Pawar.Â
Kho kho tourney from Jan 18 to 20 - The kho-kho tournament will be conducted at New English High School ground, Congress Nagar from January 18 to 20. The tournament will be organised in sub-junior and senior categories. 18 teams in senior men and women and 16 in sub-junior boys and girls are expected to participate in the league-cum-knockout tournament that will be played in the morning and evening sessions. The winner in the senior category will get Rs 15,000, runners-up Rs 11,000 and second runners-up Rs 7,000. Similarly the first three prizes in the sub-junior category are Rs 7,000, Rs 5,000 and Rs 3500. Dr Prashant Khalatkar, Parag Bansole and Dr Choudhary will look after the technical aspects of the game.
Cycling competition on Jan. 13 - The cycling competition under Khasdar Krida Mahotsav will be organised on January 13 at Deekshabhoomi square. The event will be organised in three categories i.e. 21 km men and 11 km women, under-18 boys (11 km) and girls (8 km), under-14 boys (8 km) and girls (5 km). Apart from it there will be fun open cycle race of 3 km. – The first five prizes in the men and women categories are Rs. 15,000, Rs. 11,000, Rs. 7,000, Rs. 5,000 and Rs. 3,000. Apart from it five consolation prizes of Rs. 1,000 will be given. In Under-18 section, the first prizes are Rs 10,000, Rs 7,000, Rs 5,000, Rs 3,000 and Rs 2,000. Five consolation prizes of Rs 1,000 will be given in this category also. Similarly the top five cyclists in Under-14 boys and girls sections will get Rs 5,000, Rs 4,000, Rs 3,000, Rs 2000 and Rs 1500. Apart from it there will be give consolation prizes of Rs 1,000. First 50 cyclists in fun cycle race will get the medals.
