Nagpur District Amateur Cycle Polo Association, All Mahrashtra Cycle Polo Associaiton and Cycle Polo Federation of India are jointly organising MLA Cup 35th Sub-Junior boys, 41st Senior Men and 1st Veteran’s Men Cycle Polo Championship at Ishwar Deshmukh College of Physical Education from January 10 to 13.
 In all 30 teams from Indian army, Indian Navy Territorial Army, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Karnataka, Talangana, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, Odisha, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Bihar, Gujarat, and host Maharashtra are participating in the tournament.
Around 800 players, coaches, managers are participating in the championship. The players will be lodging and boarding facility at MLA Hostel.
The matches will be played in league cum knockout basis from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m attractive trophies will be given to the winners and runners-up.
Last year Indian Army emerged winners in senior men’s category whereas Territorial Army finished runners-up, Indian Air Force achieved third place.
In sub-junior section, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradeh and Rajasthan achieved first, second and third place respectively
Maharashtra chief minister Devendra Fadnavis, Union minister Nitin Gadkari, state sports minister Vinod Tawde, guardian minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule, Air Marshal Pradip Kumar Bapat, president of Asian Cycle Polo Federation Raghuvendrasing Dundlod have been invited to grace inaugural as well as concluding function, said Burde.
