A workshop on ‘Constitutional and Legal Rights of Women’ was organized at Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology, Nagpur by the Women’s Cell of the Institute. The programme was organized as per the directives of the National Commission for Women where 139 research scholars and PG students of the institute participated.
Dr P M Padole, Director, VNIT Inaugurated the programme and welcomed resource speaker of the workshop Adv Padma Chandekar of high court, Nagpur. Dr. Anupama Kumar, chairperson, women’s cell, welcomed Dr Padole and also briefed about the workshop.
After the talk, all the participants took up an objective test with the multiple choice questions related to the legal rights of women. Ms. Nayana Soni won first prize and Ms. Rukhsana Bhadar won second prize. Five third prizes were given to Shruthi Dakey, Pranay Barkataki, Aditya Bhalerao, Karishma Punwatkar and. Raghvendra Naik.
The programme was concluded with the vote of thanks by. Deepali Deshpande conducted the programme while Dr. Nita Patne proposed a vote of thanks. Dr. Rajashri Satputle, Dr. Shital Chiddarwar, Vijaya Deshmukh, Jaya Adane. Pranoti Supare worked hard for the success of the programme.
