The State cabinet on Tuesday approved a proposal to regularise the 1,416 temporary employees working with municipal council and Nagar Panchayats in the State. If required, the government would create posts to regularise the employees. Those employed between March 11, 1993 and March 27, 2000 will be benefited by this decision.
The State government on May 6, 2000 had passed a resolution to regularise the temporary employees of municipal councils and nagar panchayats appointed before March 10, 1993. The proposal to regularised the employees appointed after that was under consideration. Accordingly, the Cabinet on Tuesday approved the proposal to regularise 1,416 employees.
