The 21st OCW-SJAN inter-press cricket tournament organised by Sports Journalists’ Association of Nagpur (SJAN) in association with OCW and State Bank of India will begin on Thursday at Ambedkar College ground at 8.30 a.m.
OCW CEO Sanjoy Roy, SBI assistant general managers Fanish Gupta and Mohan Changde, leader of the ruling party in NMC Sandeep Joshi, NMC Standing Committee chairman Vicky Kukreja, former Vidarbha Ranji captain Preetam Gandhe, noted sports organiser Anil Ahirkar and former Vidarbha cricketer Hemant Wasu will grace the function. An inaugural match will be played between defending champion The Hitavada and The Times of India. The players who have consistently played in inter-press cricket tournament for the last 15 years, will be honoured on the occasion. Cric Media containing the information of the information of SJAN activities will be released at the hands of guests.
Meanwhile, on Tuesday, dresses were distributed to the players in the presence of OCW director KMP Singh, Hemant Wasu, NDBA secretary Mangesh Kashikar, Rajabhau Tanskale of St. Paul School and Deven Dasture of South Point School.
