Japanese financial institution Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) is financing the ‘Nag River Rejuvenation Project’. The agreement was signed on 28th November last year between JICA and NMC. A meeting of the consultant appointed by the JICA for the project was held on Wednesday for the implementation of this ambitious project.
Commissioner of the Nagpur Municipal Corporation Abhijeet Bangar, Additional Commissioner Ram Joshi, Aziz Shaikh, Deputy Commissioner Rajesh Mohite, Nitin Kapadnis, Technical Advisor (rivers and lake) Mohammed Israel, Mohammed Shafiq, NJS Project Consultant Vidyadhan Sonatkke, Dr. Pranita Umredkar, Sandeep Lokhande, Jivtode In addition to the project, JICA’s Takamasa Nishikawa, Keisuke O Kazaki, Yuich ro Konno, Taisuke Watanabe, technical consultant of JICA Kaori Honda, JICA’s Chief Development Specialist M.P. Singh, coordinator Anjan Borah were present.
Nag River Pollution Elimination Project is ambitious for Nagpur. For the implementation of this project, JICA’s team will work here for four months after they would submit a report to the senior officials on JICA.
