The National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of Kavi Kulguru Kalidas University organised a one-day seminar of ‘Swami Vivekanand’s Thoughts on Education and Present Youth. The seminar was organised to commemorate Youth Day at the university campus recently.
Vice-chancellor of the university Shrinivas Warkhede presided over the seminar. Prof Brijesh Manas; public relations officer; Cummins College of Engineering, Nagpur, Dr Dharmendra Turkar; assistant professor; Administrative Service Degree College, Nagpur, Dr Bharat Panda; assistant professor, Mahatma Gandhi International Hindi University, Wardha, Dr Parag Joshi; assistant professor; Kavi Kulguru Kalidas University were the resource persons. Research students Madhura Kayande, Mrudula Kale, Gaurav Kaddlag and Arpit Harde were the other speakers.
Prof Manas spoke on the education principles of Swami Vivekanand and its relevance for today’s youth, Dr Panda on patriotism and youth’s duty, Dr Turkar spoke on how study of Swami Vivekanand’s ideology would be a guiding force for today’s youth.
Dr Warkhede said the seminar proved an efficient guidance platform for the students. Dr Dinkar Marathe conducted the proceedings of the seminar.
