Ms Usha Singh has assumed the charge of first Director (HR) of Manganese ore India Limited (MOIL) recently. Prior to this, Ms. Singh was Executive Director (Personnel and Administration) heading personnel, HRD, CSR, administration and other related functions at NMDC.
She was also heading the business development and corporate planning functions at NMDC. Ms Singh has also worked for 25 years with Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), which includes eight years as technical advisor to chairman, sail. She is an engineering graduate with an MBA, and has more than 29 years of professional experience.
Ms Singh has several awards to her credit, which include, ‘SCOPE Outstanding Woman Manager 2017 (Commendation)’ and ‘Best Employee Award’ in SAIL. She has authored and presented several papers in national as international conferences.
MOIL is the largest manganese ore producer in the country with market share of close to 50 per cent. MOIL is a Schedule-A Miniratna Category-I PSU with profit after tax of Rs 422 cr in financial year 2018, informs a press release issued by the company.
