The 70th Republic Day was enthusiastically celebrated by staff of the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) Nagpur Circle, Prehistory Branch, Excavation Branch – I and Epigraphy Branch (Arabic/Persian). Dr. Izhar Alam Hashmi, Superintending Archaeologist (I/C), Nagpur Circle hoisted the national flag.
 
It was followed by discussion and speech regarding the constitution and current affairs. Gajanan Katade from Prehistory Branch and S. Alam from Epigraphy Branch also shared words of wisdom. The celebration of this important national occasion concluded with distribution of sweets and snacks.
