The Times of India drubbed Lokmat by eight wickets to win the 21st Inter Press Cricket Tournament that was organised by SJAN in association with OCW and SBI at Ambedkar College ground on Tuesday. Batting first Lokmat were all out for 103. Only Sharad Mishra (27) and Sachin Khadke (25) showed some resistance. For TOI Faizul Qumar claimed three wickets whereas Sandeep Wardhane, Vinay Pandey and Piyush Patil got two each.
In reply TOI achieved the target losing just two wickets. Pratik Siddharth top scored with 38. Vinay Pandey remained unbeaten on 35.
OCW CEO Sanjoy Roy, director KMP Singh, SBI DGM Mohan Changde, former Vidarbha cricketer Hemant Wasu, Mangesh Raut of SGR Academy and BSC’s CP Karkar distributed the prizes. SJAN president Kishor Bagde made introductory remarks. Dr Ram Thakur proposed a vote of thanks.
