A delegation led by Reeta Lanjewar Chairperson of Lady Entrepreneurs’ Wing Forum of Vidarbha Industries Association recently met Minister for Industries & Mining, Government of Maharashtra, Subhash Desai at Nagpur.
In their representation, they requested Desai, that there are many craftsmen and women in Vidarbha region, who with their creativity makes beautiful handicrafts and artifacts, but to showcase and market their beautiful creations there are no Government Emporiums in this region, hence we need some Government Emporiums so that these beautiful handicrafts will be displayed as well as marketed from this region and will get the desired price.
Women are not conversant with many of the Government Procedures, which has to be done online for example Registering on the Government Portals or 59 minutes loan, etc, which are online processes and women entrepreneurs face difficulty doing this, we request to have a help desk or some person assigned to guide women to do these procedures.
Mega Industries do not prefer buying from the locals even they are equal in quality and lower in rates. There should be some criteria for buying from locals so that the small businesses from this region would be benefited.
