Sanskrit Sakhi Sabha, a WhatsApp group celebrated its third foundation day and Makarsankramanotsav at Hanuman Mandir, Trimurti Nagar with great enthusiasm.
A Sanskrit one act play was organised to mark the occasion, which evoked overwhelming response. The participants – in the age group of 13-65 years – presented plays on various burning issues and mythological and historical events and characters. Members of the group Dr Sharda Gadge and Dr Hanshree Marathe were felicitated for being conferred Sanskrit Sadhana Puraskar.
Dr Smita Hote and Dr Amruta Bhuskute were the judges of the one act play competition. Puja Khodke, Priyadarshini Pendharkar and Revati Agnihotri were adjudged as the winners of the competition, who were awarded prizes at the hands of Kunda Paage and Hanshree Marathe. The winners of the online ashtak song competition organised earlier were also felicitated at the programme.
Rohini Nande conducted the programme. Dr Vijaya Vilas Joshi made the introductory remarks while Sonali Adavadkar read out the annual report. Dr Vijaya Joshi worked hard for the successful organization of the programme.
