Air Marshal Hemant Sharma Param Vishist Seva Medal, Ati Vishist Seva Medal, Vishist Seva Medal, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Maintenance Command, Indian Air Force relinquished the Command of Headquarters Maintenance Command IAF on Thursday, after 39 years of service to the nation. The Air Marshal superannuated after holding the highest position for an aeronautical engineering officer in Indian Air Force as the Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief of Maintenance Command, which he took over on June 1, 2017.
The Air Marshal completed Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics from NIT Bhopal and was commissioned in the Aeronautical Engineering (Electronic) Branch of the Indian Air Force on January 7, 1980. He is a Post Graduated from IIT Kharagpur and has also done Post Graduation in Business Administration.
The AOC-in-C addressed all Field Commanders during the Commanders’ Conclave on  Thursday, which was attended by Commanders of Base Repair Depots, Equipment Depots, Movement Control Units, Air Force Liaison Establishments and important functionaries of Headquarters Maintenance Command. He congratulated the Field Commanders for their outstanding professionalism and appreciated their efforts in successful achievement of assigned production tasks.
Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief reviewed the Guard of Honour and was accorded a ceremonial send off from Headquarters Maintenance Command on 31 Jan 2019. Air Marshal Hemant Sharma Param Vishist Seva Medal, Ati Vishist Seva Medal, Vishist Seva Medal handed over the Command of Maintenance Command to Air Marshal M Baladitya, Ati Vishist Seva Medal, Vishist Seva Medal, Senior Maintenance Staff Officer, Headquarters Maintenance Command.
