Vidarbha defeated Uttar Pradesh by the virtue of first innings lead in a drawn match to enter the final in U-14 Rajsingh Dungarpur Trophy (Central Zone) Cricket Tournament at Kalamna ground.
Batting first Uttar Pradesh scored 232 all out in 93.2 overs in their first innings. Adarsh Singh top scored with 72. Dhananjay Yadav (42) and Arpit Sahu (30) were other scorers. For Vidarbha, Shree Choudhary (4 for 34) was the most successful bowler.
Riding on Vedant Dighade’s fabulous 180, Vidarbha made 276 for five in their first innings and thus took the lead.
Sharjil Sheikh (23) and Aryan Selokar (20) were other scorers. For UP, Adarsh Singh got three wickets.
In another semi-final, Madhya Pradesh qualified for final with better run quotient against Chhattisgarh.
The final match between Vidarbha and Madhya Pradesh will be played at Kalamna ground from Friday.
