The Nagpur Stainless Steel and Metal Merchants Association won the Inter Trade Association cricket tournament organised by Nag Vidarbha Chamber of Commerce (NVCC).
Earlier, the first semi final was played between Steel and Hardware Chamber of Vidarbha and The Nagpur Stainless Steel and Metal Merchant Association and the second semi-final between The Electrical merchants Association and The Nagpur Itwari Malyali Merchants Association.
The final was played between The Nagpur Stainless Steel Merchants Association and The Electrical Merchants Association. Winning the toss, The Electrical Merchants Association elected to bat and scored 115 runs losing seven wickets in the limited 12 overs.
In reply, The Nagpur Stainless Steel Merchants Association scored 118 runs for the loss of three wickets in 10.2 overs winning the title with seven wickets.
Former Indian cricketer Prashant Vaidya was the chief guest while main sponsor of the tournament Prakash Wadhwani, Rohit Agrawal of Ms Rohit Iron and Steel (I) Private Limited, Rajesh Rokde of Rokde Jewllers and Kantibhai Patel of Geeta Pipes were the guests.
The winning team was awarded the trophy and cash prize at the hands of Prashant Vaidya while Prakash Wadhwani presented the trophy and cash prize to runners up team.
In addition individual prizes were also awarded on the occasion which included Man of the Series- Sushil Gyahani of The Nagpur Stainless Steel and Metal Merchants Association, Best Batsman – Ram Mirani of The Electrical Merchants Association, Best Bowler- Manish Mishra of Steel and Hardware Chamber of Vidarbha and Best Fielder Jigar Bagadia of The Nagpur Stainless Steel and Metal Merchants Association.
NVCC President Prakash Mehadia, Vice-President Arjundas Ahuja, Ashwin Mehadia, Farooq Akbani, Joint Secretary Ramavatar Totla, PRO Shabbar Shakir, Raju Makhija, Rajesh Lakhotia, Jawahar Patel, Ramkishore Kabra, Natwar Patel, Rajesh Patel, Shakib Parekh, Kishore Thakkar, Raghunandan Punyani, Hemant Trivedi, Amarjitsingh Chawla, Chetan Shah, Satish Bang, Sourabh Agrawal, Gajanand Gupta, Raman Paigwar, Manish Jejani besides a large number of traders were present on the occasion.
