Palaq Anup Agrawal, a disciple of Bharatanatyam gurus, Dr Kishoree and Kishor Hampiholi will perform her arangetram on February 10 at Vasantrao Deshpande Hall at 5.15 pm.
The chief guests for the function will be mayor Nanda Jichkar and former MP and chairman of Lokmat Media, Vijay Darda. The guests of honour will be Magazine Editor of Twinkle Star, The Hitavada Asawari Shenolikar and Director of Meera Nritya Niketan, Guru Kalashiromani Meera Chandrashekharan. Palaq will be accompanied by ensemble of nationally acclaimed artistes. Natya Sangeetha Kala Bharthi K Hariprasad from Chennai will accompany on vocal. Ellappa alias Yashwant Hampiholi will accompany on Mridangam, Vishnu Das from Mumbai will accompany on Violin, Sanjay Sasidharan from Pune will accompany on Flute.
Gurus, Dr Kishoree and Kishor Hampiholi will provide support on Natuvangam.
Palaq in her rangapravesha will perform traditional Bharatanatyam dance items, such as thodaya mangalam, jathiswaram, shabdam, varnam, keerthanam, padam, abhanga and thillana.
Palaq Agrawal is daughter of Preeti and Anup Agrawal. She is a student of STD IX of Bhavan’s BP Vidya Mandir. She is undergoing her training in Bharatanatyam under the able guidance of Hampiholi couple since last six years. She has cleared Praveshika Poorna exam with distinction from Akhil Bhartiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya, Mumbai. Palaq has also successfully conducted two solo painting exhibitions, ‘Pahal’ and ‘Udaan’.
Palaq’s parents and gurus have urged the dance lovers to attend her arangetram.
