The Annual Social Gathering of Office of the Accountant General(A&E), Nagpur was inaugurated today at the hands of Dinesh Patil, Accountant General. Manjusha Dinesh Patil was the guest of honour. While inaugurating the gathering, the Chief Guest Dinesh Patil lauded the high standard and efficiency of the employees of the office in discharging the functions related to maintenance of Accounts of the Government of Maharashtra, and authorizing retirement benefits (Pension & GPF) of Government employees. He stressed the importance of the annual gathering in motivating and increasing the efficiency of employees.
Art Exhibition/Rangoli competition organized on the occasion was inaugurated by Manjusha Patil. In the exhibition, competitions were held for five categories like painting, photography, craft, flower arrangement, knitting and rangoli and other events.
One minute show, fashion show and Hasya Kavi Sammelan were also held. Rashmi Pralhad Bawankule, daughter of a retired employee of this office, who won the Award for Miss Empress Universe Maharashtra recently in Goa was honoured with memento. Poets like Manoj Madrasi from Adilabad, Dinesh Dehati from Balaghat, Jagdish Yadav alias Safar Jaunpuri, Sudarshan Chakaradhar and Anand Raj Anand of Chandrapur enthralled the audience with their poetry.
Various events such as hindi drama, prashna manch, antakshari, orchestra etc. would be organized during the coming days of the three day long programme. Earlier, Beju Joseph, Dy. Accountant General (Admn) introduced the Chief Guest. Vidya Patwardhan of A.G. Recreation Club presented the Secretary report for the year 2018-19.
She highlighted the achievements of cricketers of this office Rajnish Gurbani, Aditya Sarvate, Akshay Wadkar who represented Vidarbha in Ranji Trophy and Raju Bhaisare who won the All India IAAD Carrom Tournament at Shillong.
The programme was compered by Manjushri Naidu.  P.N.Challiwar, President of Recreation Club proposed vote of thanks. Satish Wasnik, Sr.DAG, G.K. Pardikar, Sr.DAG, Ashok Chanore, Welfare Officer and S.G. Sable, Welfare Officer of Audit office were also present on the occasion.
