Celebrations at Kalmana Market
The Nagpur unit of Aam Admi Party (AAP) welcomed Delhi Chief Arvind Kejriwal’s decision to implement recommendations of Swaminathan Commission and immediately procure wheat and paddy at Rs 2616 and Rs 2667 per quintal respectively.
The local unit of AAP celebrated the occasion along with farmers at Kalmana Market yard. This is a major announcement, which will benefit around 40,000 farmers of Delhi state, the AAP leaders said. The state has around 80,000 acres of farm land and now the agriculture produce will get a good price which would help the farmers to lead a respectable life, the AAP leaders said.
Vidarbha chief of AAP; Dr Devendra Wankhede gave information about Swaminathan Commission’s recommendations to the farmers at Kalmana Market. He also answered the farmers’ queries on the occasion. Similarly, the residents of Delhi are getting free water, cheap electricity, world class schools, regular cleanliness, compensation of Rs 50,000 to the farmers, help of solar energy to increase agriculture yield etc, Wankhede informed the farmers at Kalmana.
Sweets were distributed among the farmers to celebrate the occasion.
