The Maharashtra Sericulture Department has been awarded for its outstanding work by the Central government. The award was presented by Union Minister for External Affairs Sushma Swaraj and Union Minister for Textiles Smruti Irani to Sericulture Director Ms Bhagyashree Banayat at a programme held at Vigyan Bhavan New Delhi.
In addition to the ministers, Chairman of Central Sericulture Board; Hanmantraiappa, Secretary of Textile Ministry; Raghvendra Singh, Member of Central Sericulture Board; Mr. Okhandiyar, Special Secretary (Finance); S C Pande and other dignitaries graced the occasion.
