‘CrescendoXX – Extra Peace Extra Love’, the 20th edition of Central India’s most popular inter-collegiate mega youth festival was held recently, at Tirpude College Grounds. Tirpude Institute of Management Education (TIME), part of Yugantar Education Society, has been organizing this popular event for the past 19 years. This annual event witnessed a huge participation and the student footfall was around 22,000. The college had also undertaken unmatched and massive promotion & branding activities for the event.
For this edition of Crescendo, the theme chosen was ‘Extra Peace Extra Love’. It has been chosen with a view to spread love and peace among Nagpur youth by way of a host of sports and cultural events. The mega event CrescendoXX was formally inaugurated on 31st Jan. at the hands of Dr. Niraj Khati, Registrar, and Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj Nagpur University. The mega intercollegiate youth festival witnessed lot of enthusiasm and spirited performances in the various sports and games held during the week. Results of final matches held on the concluding day are: Sports- volleyball (boys): The winners were Anand Nagar club and team, runner-up were Northstar A Club; (girls) – winners were Udaan sporting club, runner up were 7 Queens; Table Tennis (boys)- winner was Kaustubh Udar & runner up was Rugved Gadge; (girls): winner was Ruchita Panbude & runner up was Revati Kashore; Badminton: (boys singles): winner was Ayush Jadhav & runner up Mohneet Bagga; (double): winners were Samarjeet Pandey-Gaurav Mithe & runners up Yash Punde & team; (girls single): winner Shruti Chokhandre & runner-up Richa Dawda; (Double): winner Sanika Durugkar & team & runner up Yashika Hemrajani & team; Kho Kho: (girls): winners were Maharashtra Krida Mandal & runner up Nav Maharashtra Club; (boys): winners were Nav Maharashtra (B) & runner up Nav Maharashtra (A); Kabaddi: winners were Sunny Shirke & team & runner-up Rohit Jadhav and team; LAN Gaming: winner (cod): Yash Chotrani & Piyush Wadhwani; (FIFA19): winner Aman Parate & runner-up Imran Syed; (Counter Strike): Saket Atkare; PUBG: winners were Aniket Roy and group, runners-up were Shubham Desai & group, Yash Rathi & group. Cultural- Personality contest: (boys): Sanskar Mishra; (girls): Payal. R. Khadbadkar; Dare to win: winners were Rashpreetsingh and team, runners-up were Gully boys, Anmol Kalsi and team; Dance- (solo): winner was Pawan Pandhare and runners-up were Prerna Patil & Shubham Meshram, ShakshiBhaise; (couple): winning team was Nisha and Sheetal & runners-up were Swaraj & Nikhil and Komal & Abhilash.
A galaxy of judges and guest attended the closing day events for various cultural and sports activities. They include: Jamashp Bapuna, owner of Bapuna group, Priyam Daga, jewellery designer, Chandni Sahu, makeup expert, Lilian Makasare, Principal of Bishop Cotton School, Nitin Mankar from The Times of India, Amit Dutta, sponsor, George Verghese, Sagar Ahuja, Owner of Mayur Stationers, Gauri Limbana, Interior Designer and a Classical Dancer, Tikki Peters, Choreographer, Basab Maity, Owner of Entregoid Technologies, Micheal Bansod, Owner of Micheal Bans, Vyom Shah, Founder of Phronesis Consultants, Milli Vikahi, Founder of Alag Angel and Samita Tijare of Creations Art Gallery.
A Valedictory function marked the culmination of this 4-day mega youth festival and was graced by Swaroop Chawla, Founder of amazing Blazing Cakes, Rahul Rai of Caliber’s Nova, Ghana Tirpude, Member, Yugantar Education Society, Dr Lalit Khullar, Director, TIME, Dr Sanjay Kavishwar, Dean, TIME, Prof. Carol Rao, In-charge, CrescendoXX & Coordinator-UG and Prof. Saranbir Kaur Uppal, Co-incharge, CrescendoXX. During the closing ceremony Chief Mentor Akshay Raghute, CEO Satyam Agrawal, COO Sports Nihal Sontakke and COO Cultural.
Rishika Pande gave reports on their respective areas of CrescendoXX and expressed gratitude towards the college students for their help and involvement in making this event a grand success. The programme was conducted by Prof. Rohan Job and vote of thanks was proposed by Prof. Carol Rao.
