Nagpur District Hardcourt Tennis Association (NDHTA) in association with Dinshaw’s Group is organising State Under-10 Tennis Tournament for boys and girls at Ram Nagar court from Saturday.
Chairman of Dinshaw’s Dairy Foods and Pvt. Ltd Shiraj Gimi said the players from all over the state are participating in the two-day tournament. Around 25 boys and girls from Nagpur, Mumbai and Pune are participating in the tournament.
The seeded players from Nagpur in the boys category include Aaron Bapuna, Devraj Mandade, Akshay Dakshindas and Mahum Tamim. The mathes will start at 8 a.m.
The winners and runners-up will get trophies and medals. The registration for the said tournament will be held at the venue on Friday from 12 noon to 2 p.m. MD of Dinshaw Group Jamashp Bapuna will inaugurate the tournament on Saturday at 8 a.m. Noted tennis coach from Mumbai D S Ramarao will also grace the occasion. The concluding function will be held on Sunday at 4 pm. Aspi Bapuna of Dinshaws group will grace the occasion.
Vice-president of NDHTA Ashok Bhiwapurkar, secretary Dr Sudhir Bhiwapurkar, joint secretary Vikram Naidu and treasurer Vijay Naidu were also present at the press conference.
