Bhojraj Ratiram Lanjewar, a teacher at Central School, Ordnance Factory, Ambazari was honoured with Indo-Malaysian Friendship award at Kuala Lumpur recently. Malaysia’s Prince Suleman Shal Alhaj conferred him the award.
President of Sahitya Akadami Dr Tandekar, President of Samata Sahitya Academy Dr V Pulainthiran (Malaysia), Chief Duty Officer; Prime Minister’s Office; Hajha Maria Mtunsi, Shilpi Awasthi, Dr Tirumurti Nadsen and officials of other countries were prominently present on the occasion.
The award is given every year to the person for outstanding contribution in the field of education and social service. This year Lanjewar was honoured with the award, who is serving as teacher since last 21 years. He has also served in Central School, Pune and Korba.
Lanjewar is a recipient of seven State awards, four National awards and two international awards. He was awarded the Sanshodhan Seva Gaurav award of Maharashtra by Union Minister Hansraj Ahir.
Dr Lanjewar has also to his name a number of awards including Shahid Bhagat Singh award, Maa Tujhe Salam Kranti Ratna award, Netaji Subhashchandra Bose, Dr A P J Abdul Kalam Misssileman award, Shri Sai Kavya Gaurav award, Rashtriya Lokmudra Kala among many other awards.
