Renowned city coach Kiran V Makode has been nominated as the coach of Junior Indian Badminton team which shall be participating in the Dutch and German Junior International Badminton Championships to be held at Amesterdam from 27th Feb to 3rd March and at Berlin from 6th March to 10th March 2019. The team shall be leaving on 24th. Kiran V Makode has been instrumental in shaping many upcoming players of the region.
Recent sensations of the city Vaishnavi Bhale, Malvika Bansod and Rashi Lambe are all coached by him. Vaishnavi and Malvika excelled in the senior Nationals at Assam recently. Vaishnavi was also part of Indian team for Uber cup. Malvika and Rashi were part of Indian Junior team which participated in World Championship at Canada.
Kiran V Makode is a qualified BWF level 1 coach and has attended the prestigious Badminton World Federation Coaches conference in Dubai during Dubai World series 2016. He is also amongst the top seven Olympic Gold Quest Coaches of India.
As a player Kiran has represented India in Senior World Championship s in Spain (2009), Turkey (2013), Sweden (2015), India (2017) and has been recently selected to represent India World Championship to be held at Poland (in Aug 2019). Kiran has also represented India in Foo Kok Keong Cup in Singapore (2017) & Hong Kong (2018).
