Jai Sai Welfare Foundation in association with Kamgar Kalyan Mandal is conducting ‘Nagpur District Open FIDE Rating Chess Tournament’ from February 25 to March 2 at Kamgar Kalyan Mandal Raghuji Nagar, Sakkardara square.
The tournament is recognised by All India Chess Federation (AICF), All Marathi Chess Association (AMCA) and Nagpur District Chess Association (NDCA).
The tournament will give a good opportunity to the district players to get international rating. The last date of entry is February 24.
Total prize money of the tournament is Rs 1 lakh. There will be age group prizes in Under-7 to Under-15 boys and girls categories. Top two schools will also get trophies. Deepak Chavan will be the chief arbiter and he will be assisted by deputy chief arbiter Umesh Panbude.
Sushant Jumde, Vinay Burle and Sarang Jawlekar are working hard for the success of the tournament.
