They students undertook various campaigns and conducted games to create awareness about eating local and regional food. They also choreographed a flash mob to convey the message of the theme and asked the people to support the cause and take a pledge.
Principal Ms Lucky Sadrani said, “Food is an integral part of our lives. Imbibing the right values, philosophy and culture about our Indian traditional food is an important part of this theme. Eating local food not only makes one feel good and healthy but also keeps our tradition alive.â€
The activities designed for the theme have widened our student’s visions and have made them more aware of the availability of fresh food. Our school has taken an initiative to highlight the importance of eating local produce which will help people become more appreciative about home-grown food. The support and cooperation from the local police, traffic police and public motivated the school to conduct the campaign at Dayanand Park Jaripatka, Sadrani said. The school has initiated the campaign to make people aware why it is important to eat local and support our local farmers.
