The combo of director Indra Kumar and producer Ashok Thakeria is best known for their blockbuster hits like Dil(1990), Beta(1992), Raja(1995), Ishq (1997), Mann(1999) and in the later years Kumar shifted to the Dhamaal and Masti franchisé. This is the third installment in Dhamaal Series this one too is an action-comedy with its heart in the right place, but its story isn’t.
Story:Â
Small-time crook (Ajay Devgn) and his sidekick (Sanjay Mishra) get double-crossed by Pinto (Manoj Pahwa) who flees with 50 crores in cash. Pinto gets involved in an accident while being chased by Ajay Devgn and Sanjay Mishra. In his dying moments, Pinto tells everyone present at the site of the accident the location of the hidden treasure. From here on, chaos ensues with everyone wanting to find the money first, taking us on an adventure of a lifetime.
Performances: With an humongous star cast it’s difficult for any body in particular to stand out but veteran Javed Jaffrey and Johny Lever does make their graceful presence felt. It is refreshing to see the duo of Anil Kapoor and Madhuri Dixit come together on screen after 18 years. Their constant bickering as a couple is entertaining.
Verdict: What the film guarantees for two hours is clean entertainment – a film with dialogues that can be seen with your full family sitting next to you. It is paisa-vasool and won’t fail to entertain you.
If you are looking for a light-hearted film, then this is the one for you. It is a clean family comedy entertainer with no double-meaning jokes that can be enjoyed by all.
