The annual walkathon event jointly organised by Rotary Club of Nagpur and Arneja Heart and Multispecialty Hospital evoked tremendous response as around 7000 walkers participated in it with lot of enthusiasm on Sunday.
The event was organised in three categories i.e. 3km, 6.5 km and 10 km. Pranay Sundarkar, Nidhi Puranik, Dr Suresh Sharma, Poornima Satyanarayan, Suresh Umathe, Sudha Gandhi, Swapnil Hanwate, Avinash Prasad, Priyanka Chavan, Sejal Tambakhuwala, Yugandhar Krishna, Sunita Fating, Noor Alam, Pooja Sirohi, Deepak Agrawal, Dr Manisha Kate, along with Ranrajsingh Verma and Sangeeta Otwani emerged winners in their respective categories.
Women walking in traditional Maharashtrian attire, participation of 95-year old walker Keshav Mehta, ironman Dr Rajendra Jaiswal, youngest Sanskriti Rajhans (five year old), and Zumba dance were the main attraction of the event.
Dr Jaspal Arneja, Dr Indu Arneja, Shiraj Gimi, Aspi Bapuna, Ram Babu, Bhupendra Singh Arneja, Vishal Agrawal, Ashish Deshmukh, Kapil Bahri and others flagged of the event and later also distributed the prizes. Dinshaw’s, Batukbhai Jewellers and Plasto were the associate sponsors of the event.
