As a part of National Science Day Celebrations, a Science March was organised by Raman Science Centre from 8.30 am to 10 am on Thursday.
A total of 750 students from 15 schools including St. Ursula Girls, Sidhheshwar Vidyalaya, CDS, Rajendra High School, Modern School, Hemant Jakate School, New Apostololic English High School, Dadibai Deshmukh Hindu Mulinchi Shala, Tata Parsi Girls, Maharashtra Adhyan Mandir, Keshavnagar High School, Shriniketan Vidyalaya participated in the Science March and gave the message of science to the society by carrying placards in their hands and raising slogans.
The march started from Raman Science Centre and passed through Aagyaram Devi square, S T Stand square, Model Mill square, Fawara Chauk, Shivaji statue square Mahal, Tilak statue, Subhash road, Aagyaram Devi square and culminated at Raman Science Centre.
Besides, Sir C V Raman memorial lecture was organised at Raman Science Center on the occasion.
Dr. Prashant Agrawal, Founder and Director, GreenVention Biotech, Pune interacted with the students on the topic “Innovation through Innovative Thinking: Journey through the Eyes of Biomedical Technologyâ€. He gave away examples of various innovations in biomedical science such as bandage, plaster, stethoscope, eye lenses, hearing aids, I pill camera etc. Students were overwhelmed by the information given by him.
After the lecture he also answered student’s queries on innovations in various other fields.
