‘Maha Shivratri Mahotsav’ is to be organised by Shri Siddharudh Adhyatma Samition March 4, at Shri Siddaharudh Shiv Mandir, Bajiprabhu Square, Ram Nagar at 4 pm.
Legend has it that this Sphatika i.e. Chandramauleshwar Shivlinga, along with those of the other three Amnaya Peethams as well, was handed over by Sri Adi Shankaracharya to his four disciples. Sri Adi Shankaracharya himself received the four lingas from Lord Shiva. Since then, the Lingas have been propitiated by the various Acharyas who have adorned the Peethams.
The Shivlinga at the temple is sacred and rare one. Kirtans by Pundik Buwa Halwe will be held from March 2 to 4, at 6 pm. The programme will commence with Laghurudrabhishek, which is considered to be the highest honour given to Lord Shiva after Maha Rudra Pooja
Rudhrabhishek, Parayan of Sadguru Siddharudh Pothi and rendition of Panchakshari Mantra will be also be held daily from March 2 to 4, at Temple premises, at 6 pm.
