The education is related to the cultural roots of the Country. For modernization to take place and education to be relevant, it has to derive its base from the cultural roots, said Anand Sancheti, while inaugurating Pratishruti-2019 the Annual Cultural Festival at Shri Ramdeobaba College of Engineering and Management. To clarify, he cited the example of pilot less aircrafts in ancient India and compared it with the current driver less cars. He further added that education and knowledge is available everywhere and can be acquired at any time provided one remains focused.
The inauguration took place in the college premises in presence of Chief Guest, Anand Sancheti, Managing Director, SMS Ltd, Nagpur. The event was presided by Satynarayan Nuwal, Vice-Chairman RCOEM. Other dignitaries present on the dais included Chandrakantbhai Thakar,Vice-Chairman; Govindlal Agarwal, General Secretary, Kailashchandra Agrawal, Secretary; Rajendra Purohit, Secretary, Ashok Kumar Pacheriwala, Treasurer. Also present on the dais were Dr. R.S. Pande, Principal; Dr. Y.M. Sonkhaskar, Dean SRC; Prof. B.M. Hardas, Prof. In-charge, Pratishruti’19, and Gagan Chordiya, Cultural Secretary, Student Representative Council.
Among others prominently present were Bhagwandas Daga and Padmesh Gupta Executive Members of RCOEM.
The ceremony began with the lighting of the lamp. Dr. Y. M. Sonkhaskar in his opening remark gave the brief description about the motto of Pratishruti.The opening remark was followed by the felicitation of the honorable Chief Guest by the hands of Satynarayan Nuwal.
The dignitaries on the dais and the other members of the staff and students present at the ceremony admired the insightful views of the respected chief guest. Satynarayan Nuwal gave the presidential address. In his address Mr. Nuwal stated that with little effort and focus our students can take the country to the next level and prove instrumental in making India Vishwguru. He said that students should look at holistic development and he concluded by suggesting that students should follow the philosophy of simple living and high thinking.
Principal Dr. R. S. Pande presented the gathering with the annual report and the various achievements of the college. Gagan Chordiya presented the Pratishruti report. The ceremony was concluded with the recital of the National Anthem. The ceremony was compeered by Purvesh Agarwal and Nancy Tolani while the vote of thanks was proposed by Bhagyashree Sahu, Joint Cultural Secretary of SRC.
