Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Thursday launched Atal Aahar Yojana in the city.
Guardian Minister of Nagpur district Chandrashekhar Bawankule along with other ministers Mahadev Jankar and Sambhaji Patil Nilagekar were prominently present on the occasion.
Under Atal Aahar Yojna, good quality and hygienic food will be served to construction workers in some areas on pilot basis and later scope of the scheme will be expanded. In the first phase, target is set to distribute food to 20,000 workers at nominal rate of Rs 5.
We have taken a number of decisions for welfare of various workers while registering them in a number of beneficial schemes, the CM said. Now children of our workers are doing PhDs and getting financial assistance form government for this. We are giving Rs 4.5 lakh for houses to the construction workers, he informed, adding they are also covered under health insurance too.
Today we have launched Atal Aahar Yojana, which is another addition.
A scheme for Rs 3000 pension per month is also launched. We intend to reach the last man with many such initiatives, said the CM.
Vidarbha Police Patil Sanghatna on the occasion felicitated Fadnavis for increasing Police Patil remuneration. Fadnavis also distributed various benefits to construction workers on the occasion.
