Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (VNIT) will be hosting its annual Entrepreneurship Summit, Consortium ’19, from March 8 to 10. Consortium, is a 3-day long summit, promoting entrepreneurial attitude amongst the student. It provides the students with exposure to international speakers and a variety of events that promote leadership skills. The summit would consist of a number of guest lectures by prominent speakers. TEDx speakers like Adhitya Iyer and Somdutta Singh would be interacting with the students at CONSOx on March 8.
Brilliant entrepreneurs, like Ravi Bttula – Director of Payments Platform VISA, Divya Ganesh – Director of McKinsey and Co., Sohrab Sitaram – Co- founder of Keventers and Shirish Andhare – Head of India for Uber, would be guiding students through the event ‘Zero to One’ on March 9. Simon Taufel , who was the umpire for the 2011 world cup finals when India created history at the Wankhede Stadium after 28 years and was also named as the ‘Best umpire of the year’ for 5 consecutive years from 2004 to 2008, would be interacting with the students at the VNIT Auditorium on March 10 from 6:30 onwards in the event ‘Townhall’- wherein you can interact and get a chance to ask Simon your questions.
In addition to this, Consortium will also be hosting a number of other events and competitions like, Startup Conclave – a national level business competition, Brainathon, CEO, Wolf of Wall Street, Bizmantra, Swades, a webinar on ‘The power of Digital Marketing’ with Mr. Ryan Patel Investing’. The Startup Expo, which would give aspiring entrepreneurs a chance to interact with mentors and investors from all over the country, will be held on March 9 and March 10.
Consortium’19 also introduces Book Fair for the first time in VNIT which is from March 9-10th. It is a great opportunity for all the book lovers to explore the bibliotheca of books.
