The agglomeration of the five elements, water, fire, earth, wind and void a space. In the absence of any one, this is a mere building, and not a space.
To elaborate on this subject, a Book, written by Ar. Madhav Achwal and directed by Atul Pethe, named Kimaya has been organised by Priyadarshini Institute of Architecture and Design Studies to celebrate on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the establishment of this college, by turning the whole premise into a platform. Various elements of architecture such as ponds, trees, courtyards, the bridge etc were engaged to bring this play to life.
The play is one that’s based on a story written in 1961 by Ar. Madhav Achwal in which he has enunciated the importance of the above-mentioned elements, through light and sound, showing the latest generation the beauty of such small things in life.
The play happened in presences of Nagpur’s renowned architects like Ar. Habib Khan, Ar. S. A. Deshpande, Ar. Smita Khan, prof. Pradeep Padgilwar, Prof. Ramesh Bambani, Prof. Kishor Revatkar, Prof. Meelind Gujarkar, Prof. Radhika Pathak along with architecture and other students.
