Senior Police Inspector of Tehsil police station Ajay Kumar Malviya organised a programme to mark International Women’s Day at the police station on Friday.
On the occasion Assistant Police Inspector Sanjivani Thorat along with 28 women police employees were felicitated for their outstanding contribution in the police department.
API Thorat and other women police staff were handed over the charge of the police station for the entire day. They handled the responsibility exceedingly well.
Speaking on the occasion API Thorat said that with felicitating and handing over the charge of the police station on International Women’s day, she was all motivated and encouraged. The women police while looking after their house have to discharge their duties for 12 hours. They perform their duties at both the places sincerely and responsibly, she remarked. The men colleagues have the duty to show respect to their female counterparts, she hoped. While working in the police, she has all the positive experiences, Thorat said.
Other women colleagues also expressed their views on the occasion and thanked Senior PI Malvia for felicitating them and providing them an opportunity to handle the police station for a day.
Later in the day, Commissioner of Police Dr Bhushan Kumar Upadhyay spent some time with women traffic cops at Sitabuldi Metro station.
