A Programme on Road Safety Week was organized by Commissioner of Police, at Shivagi Stadium Headquarters, Katol Road. Over 3000 students took an oath to follow the traffic rules throughout their lives. The progrmme was graced by the presence of Commissioner of Police, Dr. Bhushan Kumar Upadhyay. More than 45 schools had participated in the said event.
St. Xavier’s High School, Hiwri Nagar, Nagpur had aslo participated in the cultural programmes and brought laurels to the school by bagging first position. The students of primary section enthusiastically participated and performed on patriotic songs and left the Commissioner of Police, Dr. Upadhyay spellbound. CP Dr. Upadhyay awarded Aditi Bhure and Survi Kshirsagar with a cash prize of Rs. 1000 each.
The students performed well on the patriotic song and were dressed as National leaders, sportsperson and National animals. The children depicted the National Cadet Corps through their costumes and were the center of attraction.
Chairman, Dr. A.F. Pinto and Managing Director, Madam Grace Pinto, congratulated the students for their excellent performance.
Principal, Meenakshi Bhatia and Administrator, Nishit Vijayan appreciated all the students and the dance teacher, Nanda Wakte for bringing laurels to the school.
