Ashadeep Apang Mahila Bal Vikas Sanstha, Nagpur, under the scheme Late Padmja Dongre Academic Facility Centre, distributed audio readers to visually challenged students at the hands of Mr. Sampath, Chapter Bhogilal Shah, Masonic Lodge Golden Orange, 304, Nagpur.
The program was held at the office of Ashadeep , Vidarbha Sanshodhsn Mandal premises on Tuesday.
Dr. Pratima Shastri, President, Ashadeep in her introductory remarks, highlighted the utility of audio readers and explained it’s functioning to the visually challenged students. She thanked Bhogilal Shah Chapter, Masonic Lodge Golden Orange, 304 for its generous sponsorship. The recipients of the audio readers were Shantidev Shende, Akshay More, Nikita Dongre, Nikita Gadling, Nandini Ilamkar and Samin Sana Shaikh.
Mr. Sampath said Masonic Lodge was always on the fore front for the uplift of specially abled people and guided the students on the self-employment ideas of organic gardening, compost making, bags, folder making etc.
Shantidev Shende and Ms. Samin Sana Shaikh expressed their gratitude towards Ashadeep for rendering varied help to them time and again. Dr. Anagha Nasery proposed a vote of thanks and appealed to the students to pass this Ashadeep – a torch of help, friendship and hope to the other needy persons in future.
The programme was well attended by the student members of Ashadeep Snehimandal, members of Ashadeep Anjali Joshi, Dr. Nutan Deo, Alaka Shesh, Jayashri Pandharpurkar, Rekha Parkhi, Geeta Tare, Indira Deshmukh, Pournima, Indutai and others.
