Mayur Devre and Pratima Bonde clinched ‘Strong Man’ and ‘Strong Woman’ titles respectively in the 15th State Para Powerlifting Championship orgnaised by Maharashtra State Paralympic Association at WCL’s Community hall recently.
Earlier, MLA Dr Milind Mane inaugurated the meet in the presence of Mohansingh Thapa, corporator Dinesh Yadav, Sachin Mathane, Uttam Mishra, Ranjit Joshi, Shrikant Chitawar, Dhabale, Pravin Sorte, Sandeep Gavai and Latika Lekurwale.
In all 62 players from all over Maharashtra participated in the championship. The winners got medals and certificates. The medal winners will represent Maharashtra in the nationals to be held in the city on March 25 and 26, informs organising committee secretary Vijay Munishwar.
