Beat Delhi by four wickets
Vidarbha defeated Delhi by four wickets to win Under-23 One-Day League at Rajiv Gandhi Stadium in Hyderabad on Friday.
Batting first Delhi scored 211 all out in 50 overs. In reply, Vidarbha achieved the target in 48.2 overs losing six wickets. In their run chase Vidarbha lost two wickets for just 25 runs. Opener Atharwa Taide (5) and Akshay Dullawrar (12) returned to the pavilion cheaply. Then Pawan Parnate and Nayan Chavan made 103 run partnership for the third wicket. While, wicketkeeper, batsmna Parnate held the fort till the end and scored unbeaten 88 in 132 balls, Chavan scored 48 in 65 balls Skipper Mohit Kale (29) and Darshan Nalkande (24) gave good company to Parnate and ensured the victory. For Delhi, Kuldip Yadav claimed four wickets for 37 runs.
Earlier Vidarbha restricted Delhi to 211 thnaks to the disciplined bowling. Delhi captain Lalit Yadav top scored with 65. Sumit Mathur too batted well and scored 52 whereas Vaibhav Kandpal contributed 39. For Vidarbha left arm spinner Parth Rekhade captured four for 33 while N Parande got two for 38.This is fourth all-India title for Vidarbha after winning Vinood Mankad, Ranji and Irani Trophy.
