Vaishali Yede, who was in the news recently as she had got the honour to inaugurate the Marathi Sahitya Sammelan, is once again hitting the headlines. This time on a different turf and in an altogether different role.
Vaishali, whose husband, a debt-ridden farmer committed suicide seven years ago, has been given the ticket to contest the Lok Sabha elections from Yavatmal-Washim constituency by Prahaar Janshakti Party. The official announcement to this effect was made by MLA Bachchu Kadu in Amravati.
Vaishali is a resident of Kalamb in Yavatmal district and has been shouldering the responsibility of her family with two children after he husband’s demise. She has been narrating farmers’ plight and interestingly, a Marathi film has also been made on her life.
She had inaugurated the recently concluded Marathi Sahitya Sammelan at Yavatmal, which again was in news for different reasons.
While announcing her the ticket, MLA Kadu welcomed her. Prahaar Working President Ballu Jawanjal, state Publicity Chief Pramod Kudale, District Chief and councilor from Yavatmal Nitin Mirzapure, District Chief Vilas Pawar, Amravati District Chief Vasu Maharaj, District Chief Bipin Choudhari, District Publicity Chief Ashish Tupatkar, Students’ Wing District Chief Ravi Raut, Rupesh Sarde, Prashant Aaware and others were present on the occasion.
