South Central Zone Cultural Centre Nagpur (SCZCC) in collusion with Directorate of Cultural Affairs Government of Maharashtra had organised a Puppetry Workshop and Exhibition, to mark the World Puppet Day, on Monday, at SCZCC, Nagpur centre.
 
The event commenced with lighting of the traditional lamp and Ganesh Vandana was presented through puppets. A workshop was held wherein the participants were guided on how to make a puppet. Later on, the same puppets were displayed at the exhibition. The exhibition was presented by Vasanta Ghorai titled, ‘Beni Putul’, whereas, Rinti Sengupta presented Katha Kathan throught puppets.
Assistant Director, Directorate of Cultural Affairs, Maharashtra, Alka Telang, Programme Officers, Deepak Kulkarni, Prashant Dande, Deepak Patil, and Shrikant Desai were prominently present at the occasion.
The event got an overwhelming response from the audience. Meena Naik compered the programme.
