Drub Hyderabad by nine wickets
Vaishnavi Khandkar’s five wicket haul helped Vidarbha women to thrash Hyderabad by nine wickets and record their first victory in the ongoing Women Under- 23 One Day League in the city on Thursday.
Batting first Hyderabad were all out for a paltry 79 in 39 overs. Thanks to Vaishnavi who ripped through the batting line up and snared five wickets for 18 runs. Disha Kasat and GS Wankar too bowled well and captured two wickets each.
For Hyderabad only Trisha Poojitha (20), Anuradha (15) and Lakshmi Prasanna (15) managed to cross the double figures.
In reply, Vidarbha chased the target losing just one wicket.
Opening batswoman Latika Inamdar played an unbeaten knock of 31 in the company of Disha Kasat who too remained not out on 37.
After losing four matches in a row this is Vidarbha’s first victory.
