Effective public speaking is one of the finest skills used to influence community MCI also feels that Indian Medical Graduate should be good communicators and leaders along with clinical proficiency.  Seeing the initiative of MCI to built skills amongst aspiring doctors, JCI Nagpur Medico has established a student’s wing.
A two day training programme for effective public speaking, Express to Impress, was recently organized at Javik Hall at orange city Hospital. The faculty for training programme was JCI TROT trainer Dr. Director of MET and research at NKP SIMS & RC Nagpur, Suresh Chari.
Dr Chari in his unique way explained the students the different attributes of public speaking. Total 20 students from NKP Salve Institute, VSPM Dental College, VSPM Physiotherapy and Kalmegh Dental College had participated in the said event.
Project Director Sayali Narkhede, Student of 3rd year MBBS from NKP Salve Institute and VPBO,JCI Nagpur Medico, JC. Dr Ashish Vighne worked hard in planning an implementation of the event.
Inaugural session was chaired by President Jc Dr. Smita Pakhmode whereas Zone Director JC Shraddha Jais was chief guest. Training session comprised of an output sessions wherein the students got an opportunity to express themselves. In the training session students had to express their thoughts in minute’s times and another 5 min were provided them to speak on various topics of public speaking.
Concluding session was chaired by VPMO JC Dr. Deepika Chandhok. JCI senator Suresh Chari, distributed the participating certificates to the students. IPP Dr. Sachin Deokar guided the students on the importance of effective public speaking. Director Dr. Manju Chandankhede was  prominently present at the occasion
This was second training session of Effective public speaking. First session was attended by 20 members of JCI Nagpur Medico, which was organised by JCI senator, Mukesh Ashar, at Hotel Heritage on March 9 and 10, 2019.
