One Akshay Bhange (22), resident of Ambedkar Colony, Lashkaribag, was killed while two others injured seriously when the Indigo car they were travelling in hit a haphazardly parked tipper. The incident occurred at around 11.40 pm on Friday at Ashok Nagar near Bouddha Vihar under the jurisdiction of Pachpaoli police station.
According to police, Akshay along with his friends Gaurav Ravindra Pillewan and Mayur Sharad Kawade, both residents of Lashkaribag were going in the Indigo car MH-31/EQ-0264. When they reached near Bouddha Vihar hit a tipper that was parked in middle of the road creating obstacle to the traffic. So severe was the hit that Akshay was killed on the spot. Gaurav and Mayur sustained serious injuries.
The Pachpaoli police on the complaint given by Mahendra Tulshiram Bhange (55) lodged an offence against the owner of tipper under section 283 and 34(A) of the IPC. PSI D V Shisode is conducting further investigations.
Man booked for culpable homicide
Pachpaoli police have booked one Kishore alias Sonu Paunikar (29), resident of Lashkaribag, Motibag Road for culpable homicide.
According to information given by police, one Ghanshyam Hingne (22), resident of Railway Rest House, Motibag was found unconscious near swimming pool football ground at around 12.15 pm on November 23, 2018. When he was taken to the Central Railway Hospital for treatment, the doctors declared him brought dead. On the basis of information given by one Dushant Saman Gajbhiye (32), resident of Beli Shop, Motibag, police registered a case of accidental death.
During the investigations, police learnt that Ghanshyam an original resident of Ambilhul in Jamner taluka of Jalgaon district had gone to the football ground for cleaning work. While he was busy in the work he came in contact with an electric pump and was electrocuted.
Police further learnt that despite Paunikar was aware of the defect in the electric pump he did not repair it that led to Ghanshyam’s death.
PSI P R Ingle then lodged a complaint with the Pachpaoli station on the basis of which, police registered an offence under section 304(A) of IPC against Paunikar.
Man booked for assaulting son
Jaripatka police on Saturday booked Naresh Raghu Payto (40), resident of Lurd Mata Nagar near Nara Ghat for attacking his son with sharp weapons.
According to complaint lodged by Naresh’s wife Indira (38), while Naresh was beating his son Jacob, Indira intervened. Getting angry over this, Naresh took a kitchen knife and tried to attack Indira, however, Jackob came in between and the knife hit his stomach. Jacob was seriously injured.
Indira then lodged a complaint with the police on the basis of which, police registered an offence under section 326 of IPC against Naresh. Constable Dhanraj Padwal is investigating further.
Woman molested
A 22-year-old woman was molested under the jurisdiction of Beltarodi police station. According to the complaint lodged by the woman, she along with her husband and children were sleeping on the terrace on Wednesday night when accused Roshan Dagduji Kamble (45), resident of Panjri reached there.
He tried to attack the complainant’s husband over some old dispute. When the complainant tried to intervene, Kamble allegedly molested her. The woman then lodged a complaint with Beltarodi police station. The police registered an offence under section 452, 354(B) and 323 of IPC against Kamble.
