Union Minister for Road Transport and Shipping Nitin Gadkari inaugurated the fourth showroom of Rokde Jewellers at Laxmi Nagar on Saturday afternoon.
Maharashtra Minister for Energy and Guardian Minister of Nagpur district Chandrashekhar Bawankule, his wife ms Jyoti Bawankule, their daughter Payal Ashtankar and other dignitaries were prominently present on the occasion.
After formally inaugurating the showroom, Gadkari took a round of the showroom, spread across 12,000 square feet in three floors. He was also praise for the showroom. Though he did not address the public but speaking to the attendees and Rokde family members, Gadkari said he was proud that a Nagpur guy had established a world-class showroom and instead of running after a job was now providing jobs to a number of people from the city.
Earlier in the day, film star Esha Deol along with her husband Bharat Takthani visited the showroom and spent some time. She said she was shocked to see such a huge and world class showroom in a Tier II city. “Stepping in the showroom I felt I was in a big city like Mumbai or Pune,†she remarked.
Noted Marathi actors Mrinal Kulkarni and Bharat Ganeshpure will be visiting the showroom on Sunday while Amisha Patel and Anita Date will be visiting on April 1.
As an inaugural offer, Rokde Jewellers will be giving a discount of 50 per cent on making charges till April 1 while under another offer 25 per cent discount will be given on making charges on second purchase, which is valid for one year.
The showroom has wide collection of gold and silver ornaments including north Indian, Rajasthani, Pune style jewellery, Nashik and ornaments from East, West, North and South India, thus giving a wide range of choice to the customers. The ornament range starts from Rs 10,000.
Directors of Rokde Jewellers; Bhaiyyaji Rambhau Rokde, Vandana Rokde, Rajesh Rokde, Sarang Rokde, Sanskruti Rokde and Anamika Rokde apart from the staff of Rokde Jewellers were also present.
