Former Vidarbha Ranji captain and junior national selector Pritam Gandhe will coach the budding cricketers during the summer cricket camp being organised by Mujumdar Cricket Academy (MCA) from April 10 to June 30 at Vasant Nagar ground.
It can be mentioned here that Gandhe has represented Vidarbha in Ranji Trophy from 1987 to 2009 and has played 100 first class matches for Vidarbha. He has taken total 335 wickets and also represented India Under-19 team and India ‘A’ team for three times. He has represented Air India cricket team for 20 years. He has also coached Vidarbha Ranji team in 2009-10.
According to MCA secretary Sunil Mujumdar they are thankful to Gandhe who has given his consent to coach our players. He has vast experience to guide the players. The players of our club will definitely get the benefit of his coaching.
During the period of the summer cricket camp, the players from the club will be playing the practice matches from May 1 onwards. All age group players will get the benefit of playing the matches at VNIT ground daily. Gandhe will be assisted by former Ranji trophy player Vikas Shesh, Manoj Gogte, Rigved Mujumdar and Harshal Huddar.
MCA team will also visit England in July/August 2019 to play the matches at London, Luton and Brighton. The academy will also start its summer coaching residential academy at Shegaon where lodging and boarding facility will be provided to the players. Apart from it residential arrangements will be provided at Nagpur near the Vasant Nagar ground to the layers.
