Two city players Gurudas Raut and Sarang Chafle have been selected as the probables for the Cricket World Cup 2019 for disabled to be held at England.
The secretary of Physically Challenged Cricket Association of India Ravi Chauhan declared the list of 45 players and out of them eight are from Maharashtra including two from Nagpur. Those who have been selected as probables from Maharashtra include Gurudas Raut, Sarang Chafale (Nagpur), Ravi Patil (Mumbai), Ravindra Sante (Thane), Vikrant Keni (Mumbai), Kalpesh Gaikar (Thane), Sachin Harishchandra (Ahmadnagar) and Irshad Khan (Akola).
 The practice matches will be played in Vadodara Gujarat from April 10 to 12 and on the basis of these matches players will be selected for the Indian cricket team. Total 8 players from are selected from Maharashtra team.
 Gurudas Raut is currently working at Indian Air Force Maintainance Command Nagpur. Sarang Chafale is an empoyee of MSEB and Ravindra Sante (Central Railway Mumbai).
