At VCA Civil Lines, riding on India player Jemimah Rodrigues’s unbeaten century knock Mumbai drubbed Jharkhand by 73 runs. Batting first Mumbai scored 273 for 6 in 50 overs. Thanks to Rodrigues, who leading from the front, smashed 140 in 145 balls hitting 16 boundaries and two sixes. Middle order batswoman Manjiri Gawde (39, 42b, 6×4, 1×6), RS Choudhary (30, 27b, 5×4) gave good company to the skipper and ensured good total on the board.
For Jharkhand, Devyani got two wickets for 46 runs. In reply, Jharkhand were all out for 200 in 46 overs. Opener Indrani Roy’s fighting 91 run knock went in vain. She hit nine boundaries. Captain Ritu scored 30 whereas Ruma (19), Ashwani (15) were other scorers. For Mumbai, M Dakshini, Saniya Raut and Vrushali Bhagat captured two wickets each.
At VCA Kalamna ground, Delhi defeated Karnataka by 42 runs. Bating first Delhi scored 187 for nine in 50 overs. Middle order batsowman Arushi Goel top scored with 45 in 73 balls hitting two boundaries and two sixes. Simran Dil Bahadur (30), Priya Punia (29) were other scorers. For Karnataka, Sahana Pawar (3 for 18) was the main wicket taker. Monica Patel got 2 for 41.
In reply, Karnataka lost their wickets at regular interval and were all out for 145 in 49.1 overs. Simrna Henry (46), D Vrinda (34) offered some resistance. For Delhi, Simrna Dil Bahadur claimed a five wicket haul conceding 24 runs.
