For all those bird watchers, Deer and Nilgai, book an early morning safari and you’ll not be disappointed. And if you’re lucky, you’ll sight a couple of Leopards too. There’s no denying the fact that there is nothing cooler than observing animals in their natural habitat and jungle spaces like the Gorewada, right at the outskirts of Nagpur is certainly a boon for the residents.
Atul Bangre, who visited the Gorewada is all praises for how beautiful the place is. He says, “I didn’t get to spot any Deer or Leopards but that did not take away from the most amazing time I had visiting the safari. It is a peaceful place and just taking a ride through it is worth the experience. I would highly recommend the Gorewada.â€
Spread over 850 hectares of land, this huge sanctuary also houses Pythons, Peacocks, and Porcupines. Parents can plan a day trip with their kids this summer and for all those adventurous sorts, an evening safari is ideal. The government has been working tirelessly towards conserving the bio-diversity around the Gorewada Lake too. As much as, we must enjoy these places of recreation, we also need to protect, conserve and maintain these natural habitats for the sake of posterity.
Places like the Gorewada are a major attraction for nature lovers and the best part about this safari is that the visitors get to experience forest on both sides of the Katol Road and get to experience the mystic backwaters of the Gorewada Lake at night. There are local guides who are well equipped to take care of the visitors. People who have taken the night safari cannot stop flipping over at how wonderful the experience has been.
With all this in mind, get on to this thrilling experience of not only witnessing the flora and fauna but wildlife at its best. One thing is for sure and that is- you’ll come back with some amazing stories to tell of spotting the leap of Leopards or a herd of Deer or a Peafowl with some of the most fantastic looking Peacocks, Peahens and Peachicks.
And just like someone said, “There is no WIFI on safari but you will find a better connection.†We cannot ‘connect’ to it more!
